Barry's Amusements
Situated beside the east strand beach and train station.
The biggest in Ireland. Established over 50 years.
Many children have left this place minus their pocket money but with memories of great times that is still to be had at Barry's amusements.
A rare photo of these popular slot machines, as you can see there isn't a punter to be seen. This photo was taken at a very quiet period when most kid's and parents were busy at school or work. At weekends and holidays it would have been hard to see the gaming machines let alone taking a photo.
A favourite with the younger ones, with Mum an Dad using the kids as a excuse to get a ride themselves!
Many other rides, games etc are in the complex. The biggest attraction being the roller coaster situated out side at the rear of Barry's, unfortunally this was closed on my visit.
Update:
Barry's Rollar Coaster has now been replaced by a large Ferris Wheel
